The Twins First Night Survival Kit

When my husband and I got home with the twins we both looked at each other and had no idea what to do.  It was like the last five days spent at the hospital was a blur and we forgot everything we learned.  We rushed around the house and finally realized we had an over load of baby items so resorted back to the basics- just like the hospital.

First Night Survival Kit

  1. The twins were placed on an extra calorie formula due being premature and only weighing 3 & 4 lbs.  The hospital gave us a lot of pre-made bottles of the Neosure which helped the feeding process. Similac Expert Care NeoSure
  2. Our son had a gallon of pre-made formula the hospital had given us, he had to have even more calories in his formula than our daughter.  So when we finally got home we had to use a bottle warmer. We quickly realized the one that was given to us did not work.  I had to heat water up on the stove because we were told the microwave would not heat evenly. The next day we purchased this bottle warmer and love it. Kiinde Kozii Baby Bottle Warmer
  3. Newborns need a lot of diaper changing X 2, these outfits came in handy to quickly change and keep them dressed.  Print Layette Gown Double Knot Hat Set in Natural Beach Pup
  4. There was a lot of feeding and that being said a lot of spit up, we have burp cloths set up in each room.  SwaddleDesigns - Stylish Quality Essentials
  5. We had done some research and many of  our friends swore by Pampers.  I quickly too loved the diapers compared to others, the best part about them was the wet indicator.  The indicator was very helpful for my husband and I as newbies we needed the reassurance.  Pampers Swaddlers Diapers, Jumbo Pack (Choose your Size) Walmart.com /
